A young professional writing about economis, policy and energy with a twist of data. I mainly write about the US and my home country of Cyprus.

My journey

Striving for social impact has always been my vision. That journey began in Cyprus when I was involved in the peacebuilding movement, there I was involved with the Cyprus Friendship Program. My latest contribution to peace in Cyprus moved on to found a peace building concert in the heart of the demilitarized zone in the summer of 2017 to send a message of peace to our leaders negotiating for a solution in Switzerland. After that, I moved to California to study Economics and Global Studies at UC Berkeley. There my passion led me to serve in student government twice an elected student body senator and then as the vice president for over 40,000 students. Important struggles were gained there fighting for international and marginalized communities for more resources from the administration.

Post graduation, my life took me to the east coast to purse a master’s degree at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. There I continued my economics and data science training and was exposed to the vast but elusive problems of climate change. After working at the International Crisis Group, I helped with modeling and explaining the impacts of climate-induced conflict in sub-saharan Africa. I was then employed at an energy consulting firm in back in my dream city of San Francisco where I help consult regulators, tech firms and private equity firms in navigating the green energy transition.
